Info on the paynage

Howdy the names Aaron, and this is my attempt at taking a photo a day and posting it here for everyone to see starting january 1st 2010. I know, I know it’s not original.

UPDATE: Ok, so I'm not getting one out everyday anymore. But hey at least I'm still working at it!

Bit about me and my life of creating images... I’ve been taking photos well back into the days of film. I’ve spent a couple years shooting only black and white and developing in the dark room and loved it. Fast forwarding to the days of the pixel I’ve since abondoned film and have gone all digital (Sorry film! I will always love you, I’ve been seduced by the instant gradification).

Recently I’ve been becoming obsessed with studio and strobist lighting.

rain droplets on flowers

The weather today totally changed. It snowed butt loads for 4 hours or so! Here's some bad weather imagery to prove it.

The weather this week has been amazing here in Wenatchee. Here's some nice weather imagery to prove it.

Red orchid flowers

We bought a really sad looking orchid last year and the wife brought it back to life enough to the point where it now has flowers. It's a good thing she was in charge of it.

Rain in the spring is nice... At least here in Wenatchee where we do not get rain all that much.

Close up of a red rose

We decided to celebrate our valentines a day early. The wife made us some dark chocolate espresso moose for desert and we washed it down with some chocolate cherry wine from the Icicle Ridge Winery. Then I washed that down with a couple beers. Good times.

close up of black and white droplets

So here's another totally unoriginal idea I always thought was cool, so I thought I would give it a whirl. In between some of the shots my cat came and helped out by drinking some of the milk. Thanks Tator.

Closeup of an eye

If I want to see what something looks like close up a lot of times I will grab my macro lens and take a couple snaps. It's amazing to see details that you normally don't or can't see with the naked eye.

Record player and records triptych

I have a special place in my heart for records. They sound more real to me. I even like the little scratchy sounds every once in a while. It feels cozy for some reason... And it is also very fun to dig through all the records at places like Goodwill. Usually you'll find one good record out of 500 or so. But it is so awesome when you do and it will only cost you a buck or two.

Two Unsuspecting GI-Joes with a Teddy bear monster behind

Forget Bigfoot... I've seen this monster out in the woods and this is my proof. Soon I'm sure I'll will be invited onto all the daytime talk shows and become rich and famous. You just wait and see.

BLT with avocado and home-made focaccia bread

For dinner tonight we had a BLT with avocado and home-made focaccia bread. Along with the lighting in the room I only used one flash with a defuser above and to the right of the camera.
